Seth Thomas "World", long drop regulator, C. 1885. Old oak veneer case is32" high, great wood grain matches, yet is different at every turn. A careful and skilled wood man filled all the wood joints with a color matching wood putty, cleaned the case, sent the old dial to The Dial House for a good repaint, and in general made the clock fine enough for anyone to hang in their home. I note a repair made on the minute hand. All brass is polished, and a new knob was installed on the lower door. Full label inside the case. 8 day, large double spring movement with Graham dead beat escapement, Geneva stops still in place, and there is a second's dial. Ly-Seth Thomas, page 150.
