C.1878, Seth Thomas Clock Co., "Tudor No. 1", 8-day time-strike-alarm round top shelf clock. Condition - Refinished rosewood case is in good condition with veneer loss near the top hinge, on the sides of the base and damage (missing wood) on the back edges of the top. Dial bezel is now gold painted (originally leaf over gesso). Original dial base now has a new paper dial, lifting and with bubbles. Minute hand is old, but a tad too short for the chapter ring. Movement is properly signed with Seth Thomas logo. Height 15.25 inches
