Catalog Description:
C.1905, Seth Thomas, "Regulator No. 7" wall clock (short version) in excellent original condition. This is an interesting clock, in that it has an 80 beat movement on which the pendulum rides around 4" off the bottom of the case, which to me makes it a more pleasant appearing clock than the regular 72 beat movement, on which the view of the pendulum is restricted behind the door. The movement is original to the case and there are no spare holes for any of the hardware; movement appears similar to that used in a No. 2. The beat scale has always been mounted in the high spot it occupies. The case retains original finish, nicely polished; the dial has been professionally re-blacked over the original white surface (has nice crazing), and with original hands, pendulum, hardware, etc. Height 45"
