Catalog Description:
Seth Thomas "Regulator No.6", ca 1884. A model we don't see very often. The case was also used for a calendar version, which we do see occasionally. This clock is 8 day, time only, 1 weight, and running. Brass accessories are the pendulum ball, weight, pulley, locks, and bezel. The beat scale is nickel. Dial has been repainted, with the ST logo and seconds dial. We rarely see one that has not been repainted. A good black label inside on the base. The movement is the same one used in the old reliable Seth Thomas No.2's, strong, well finished plates, secured to an iron bracket, Graham dead beat escapement, 80 beats to the minute, has maintaining power. 49 inch walnut case has the original finish that has some crazing. Burl walnut was used on the top and base. The clock is not perfect or mint, but plenty nice. No repairs or substitutions on the case are visible. Ly-Seth Thomas No.391.
