Catalog Description:
Seth Thomas calendar clock, "Parlor Calendar, No. 5", C. 1886. Polished walnut veneer case is 20" high, and there are no problems with the case. In fact very nice. However, we need to send Bubba to the NAWCC Suitcase School. The top dial pan is original, no new holes, but the paper dial he put on is pretty sorry. Even worse is the new pan over the calendar mechanism, and that paper dial. Probably for $100 he could have made this a first rate shelf calendar clock. And, as anyone can see the red calendar hand is bad. At least he could have painted it black. You can get a correct replacement hand from Timesavers for about $4. There is a label behind the calendar movement. This is an 8 day movement, No. 4 3/8, striking a bell on the hours. Geneva locks are still in place. Ly-Seth Thomas #94.
