Seth Thomas & Sons statue clock, "No. 8011", ca 1876. Angel and Child. A lot of old gilt finish on the metal case. Typical French style movement copied by Seth Thomas, 8 day, striking on a bell, on the half hour, also like the French movements. Heavy beveled glass in the cast bezel, porcelain dial has repairs around the time side arbor. Signed movement, outside count wheel, running. No back metal cover but has the correct pendulum. A little damage on the back where it rests on the mantle, you must inspect closely, from the back. The clock is 16 1/2 inches high. Ly-American, Volume2, No.847.
