C.1896, Seth Thomas Clock Co., "Globe", 8-day, long drop octagon timepiece. Condition: Refinished rosewood veneered case in very nice condition with a very small veneer chip on the edge of one of the members that makeup the octagon and a couple of small chips on the back edge along the bottom. Original painted dial is exceptional for its age, and for a Seth Thomas. Original foil gilding is intact on the lower door molding. Hands and pendulum are original, but the pendulum has a large stress crack on the brass facing. Height 31 inches [78.7 cm]
