Seth Thomas crystal regulator, "Empire No. 25", ca 1909, also known as the "Rough Rider" clock. 8 day, strikes cathedral gong on half hours, runs very well. Really nice porcelain dial with painted garland of flowers, bright gold gilt dial ring, 4 beveled glasses, all perfect, and 4 full columns. Imitation 2 vial mercury pendulum. The original finish was Syrian Bronze, now very dark. I don't think it has ever been cleaned. The Roughriders were formed in 1896 by Colonel Theodore Roosevelt, using cowboys and college students.
