Seth Thomas shelf clock, "Eclipse" or Balltop, ca 1900. Another fine example of the Balltop, may be the better of the ones in this catalog, it is less crusty. It is a nice mellow brown walnut, with original glass, pendulum, dial and full label inside the case. Strikes half hours and alarms on a bell. The top has a wood split behind the cross piece of wood molding, can't see the split from the front. 8 day movement is running. Ly-Seth Thomas, page 479.
